Was trying to figure out where exactly to post this.

I just wanted to say I thought the booth looks really great!! And there is something about that turquoise that just draws me in - wish I could be there!!  Thank you a bunch for the pictures.

And I hope you're having fun out there in addition to the work required for this.

Thanks, Kathryn!

We are enjoying the show, although we've had no time to attend any of the sessions or the fashion shows.

About all we have been able to do is squeeze in a little bit of shopping at other vendors.  I was disappointed -- I wanted to buy more "magic" needle threaders  like I did last year, but that vendor did not  have them.

It seems to me that we have talked with more garment sewers this year than last ... is the pendulum swinging back from quilting only?    Lots of discussions with costumers, too.

However, I have seen some of the MOST gorgeous quilts in the various booths.  Almost inspires me to make one -- maybe when I get my wardrobe completed  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes.... yeah, like I'm going to find time for that! lol

Hi

What I am curious about is how TCC in relation to the other computer pattern making software that was at Pallyup (I know Bernina and WG were there).  I'm sure customers were comparing.

I didn't get to go this year (sob!), but TCC's booth, people and models look at least as attractive and interesting as any software booth I've ever seen there (way better than most), and I've helped a few years with brand X's booth.

I've looked at a lot of software demos and own TCC and 2 others, and have to say you really can't tell how a program will work for you until you use it a while.  You can compare features, ease of making changes, how the screen and printing look and feel to you, but the things that really really matter are the fit you get when you make a garment, and the help you get or don't get when something goes wrong.  Those things just take a while to find out.  Humans write software, and humans take measurements.  So you want to deal with the kind of humans who listen and consider what you say, and who will try to think through your problem with you.

Hope that helps a little.

Yes Kathy, we kept looking for you and missed seeing you.  Will you be at the April Users Workshop?

But we did get a chance to visit with some of our other users -- Leah and another Kathleen were able to stop by the booth for a quick hello.

I'm just now home, and even though it should only seem like 6:30 pm right now, it really does feel like 9:30.  So I'm thinking I won't have any trouble getting a good night's rest.

Yes, I'll be there in April, hurray!  We were in Ashland OR for a family wedding, which was very nice indeed.  We also took in a play (there's a Shakespeare festival there).  But I missed seeing you all and visiting all the wonderful vendors (my checkbook is grateful, actually, and my stash is PLENTY big enough already!)

We did miss you Kathy, but glad you were off having fun at the wedding. We ran into several Pacific Northwest people who are wanting to get together, so you'll have to get in touch with each other. I know we would really like to start some regional user meetings eventually. We had Leah, (gingersnap) come by and sit with us so we could show her some of the updates to the program in between her classes. She will be retiring after this tax season and then is really looking forward to sewing. She is really a lovely lady and it was a great pleasure to see her again this year.
