Here is a work blouse - pulled fabric from the remnant bin at Mill End (tho it was 5 or 6 yards).  Hard to tell but it is a sheer. I cut it just about at default (before the current dart rotation change). One of the pictures shows it with the dagged shoulder princess vest I made for Puyallup - and that works really well with it.

I used the simple tie collar and dropped the front neck 3 inches and chose Scoop - with default jewel in the back.

Add 4 inches to the garment length and used a 2 inch offset from apex on the bust dart.

Used the shirt sleeve - and added an inch to the length. I spend a lot of time with my arms stretched out in front of me at the keyboard and that inch is luxury.

This is a sheer with little short random creases set in to it all over. I lined the body, cuffs, and collar but not the sleeve.

With a 3 inch drop scoop neck in front, it is still quite modest but just drops over my head, so the only button/button holes are on the cuffs - talk about easy!!  I have 2 more cut out and I don't think that will be the end. I cut both front and back on the fold.

60" fabric is wonderful (one of the other blouses) because I can fold both selvages to the middle and get the body out of one length, the sleeve and tie out of the second length - very economical. This particular one was from 54" however, so used more - but the price was right and somewhat different than what I have been wearing.

I love this software!!!  It was just cut/sew/wear.

Very nice.  I like the cut on the fold idea.

That is a beautiful blouse - lovely print, and with no buttons you could put it on before you were awake in the morning!

I have been hunting for the tie collar, and can't find it anywhere in the quarterlies or blouse collections.  Where is it lurking?

Thank you all.  What keeps amazing me is how comfortable these are - not binding - we get so used to things only kind of fitting that it is remarkable when things let one move freely without being a tent.

Hope to have more to post soon.

Here is the next one.  Blouse and Maude are both Poly - Maude is lined, blouse is not.  I'm considering body lining the rest of the blouses I make since it makes the collar so much quicker and easier to install - and reduces hand work.

Blouse is just the same as the one described below.

Maude made at default, cut off just above the knee since that is a better look on me (I think).  I slit the Maude at the side to get into my pants pockets (Pants still readymade) and instead of side pockets, put pockets in the lining about 3-4 inches under the bust apex. I figure I can put some things in those pockets and noone will be the wiser - we'll see. I lined to the edge.

I'm not wearing shoes as you can probably see - since I was changing right after the pics into my weekend wear.

Another time, I might put a slight shaping at the side above the slit on the Maude, but have 2 more prints queued up to make the Maude work with both the tan and the green pants.

That's a great look.  The pocket idea is clever and I really like the blouse fabric.  Did that come from Mill End?  Whenever I'm in Rochester visiting the family I ALWAYS schedule some time for Mill End.

Thank you Jean.  Blouse fabric came from LZs.

But the next thing I have queued up is a Vest and blouse - Vest from a Mill End Tapestry piece and blouse from SR Harris up in the cities which I'd had stashed for a while.  SR Harris is a bit like LZ's on one floor.  Gigantic warehouse of stuff bought in lots, all kinds of stuff and good prices. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a bunch of silk tricot when I had the chance. You cut and label your own stuff except for a small room at the side with regular priced high end fabrics. Used to be a weekly 15% off coupon in the Tribune every Sunday for everything you bought on a trip there but I haven't looked lately - do NOT need to stash more at the moment. Mainly fun on an excursion with other fabric hounds.

And one more.  Tapestry doesn't drape all that well so kind of sticks out in front, but here it is.  Blouse is heavy washed Rayon, kind of sueded - may be a better winter top. Anyway, higher hopes for the two silk blouses I have cut out but those are going to have to wait a bit while I focus on pants.
